Regional Campuses Making an Impact in Community

APU’s psychology major is not only offered at the Azusa campus. It’s offered at several regional campuses, including San Diego, Inland Empire, High Desert, Murrieta, and Orange County, to better serve professional students. We are incredibly proud of our professional programs’ impact in their local communities. For instance, members of the psychology club at the High Desert Regional Center are actively engaging with their local community to better serve county mental health programs, private practices, and the local court system.

In February 2019, 35 APU students were led by psychology faculty member from the Murrieta campus, Paul Bernard, to help the community of Paradise, CA. Professor Bernard founded “Paradise Rise,” to help the Paradise community sift through the rubble of its homes lost in the Camp Fire.
