Congratulations, Vannessa Weber: Recipient of the Diane Davis Award at the WAVES Conference for School Certifying Officials, Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) Personnel, and State Approving Agencies (SAA) personnel.
"Please join us in congratulating Vannessa Weber on receiving the Diana Davis Award at the recent WAVES Conference for School Certifying Officials, Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) personnel, and State Approving Agencies (SAA) personnel. The award was given to an individual who exemplifies true devotion to serving individuals and enabling individuals to aspire to higher standards of service to others.
Vannessa was nominated for the award by one of our former veteran students and current staff members. Vannessa exemplifies God-honoring service on a daily basis to all of our military-connected students and we are so very proud that she was recognized for this service by her peers at the national conference.
Vanessa, we are grateful for your leadership of the MVEB office and daily testimony to our students through your kind thoughts, words, and actions that are felt by all of the women and men that you serve."

After graduating from the M.S. program in Research Psychology and Data Analytics at Azusa Pacific University, I was able to obtain a job working as an adjunct professor for APU. However, this would not have been possible if it weren’t for the rapport I built with my professors in the program; each professor I had the opportunity to study under or work with helped build my self-confidence and encouraged me in the process of finishing my studies and applying for the position. As a TA for a few professors, I learned firsthand what it took to connect with students and believe in them as my professors did in me. Had it not been for the values and knowledge I gained for the M.S. program, I would not be where I am today.
