Welcome Back!

Welcome and welcome back APU Psychology Community!

On behalf of the Psychology department’s faculty and staff, I look forward to seeing you starting August 29 as we launch the Fall 2022 semester! We anticipate a great year, providing each of you with a God-honoring educational experience. We’re committed to a culture of scholarship, diversity, and inclusiveness. We’re here to help you pursue your future as well as encourage you to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12: 2).

We invite you to meet your faculty this year by participating in D-groups, research experience and / or field experience. We offer you these opportunities to help you explore life and calling and career areas of interest. All faculty are available to meet with you individually throughout the academic year via their standing office hours and by appointment.

We encourage you to get involved with our community! Check out our website, psychology.apu.edu, which offers news about the department, information about classes, internships, and job opportunities. In addition, you’ll find valuable information about the major, academic advising, faculty office hours, and other valuable information including department-sponsored events happening throughout the year. Learn about our Psych Club – join if you haven’t already done so!

A personal note – this is my 27th year at APU. I can tell you it’s a daily privilege to be working with a gifted and dedicated group of faculty and staff here to serve you and ensure you are well taken care of as a student of Psychology. I join them in praying you have a blessed and enriching year.
