Commuter - Learning Community
What is a Learning Community?
The Learning Community is a new way of experiencing your first year of college. Incoming psychology majors have the opportunity to take two psychology courses together in the fall semester including First Year Seminar and Human Growth and Development. The focus of the L.C. is to provide a community-oriented environment where students can learn about the university, get involved, make friends, be supported, and succeed academically! The Department of Psychology collaborates with other campus departments to develop specialized student events and programs to facilitate intentional community and individual relationships in and out of the classroom and further impact students’ college experience.
Psychology Commuter Student Learning Community (Commuter LC) - intended for incoming freshman commuting to campus. This community will form close relationships with other commuting psychology majors through co-enrollment in three core courses taken together your first year (two in the fall, one in the spring).
