Transfer - Learning Community

What is a Living Learning Community?

The Living Learning Community is a new way of experiencing your first year of college. Incoming psychology majors have the opportunity to live on campus and take two psychology courses together in the fall semester including First Year Seminar and Human Growth and Development. The focus of the L.L.C. is to provide a community-oriented environment where students can learn about the university, get involved, make friends, be supported, and succeed academically! The Department of Psychology collaborates with other campus departments to develop specialized student events and programs to facilitate intentional community and individual relationships in and out of the classroom and further impact students’ college experience.

Psychology Transfer Student Learning Community (Transfer LC) - Intended for transfer students. This community will form close relationships with other transfer psychology majors by co-enrolling in two upper division psychology courses not yet taken at a community college (one in the fall, one in the spring).

Once you are accepted into the LC, you will receive communication from Melanie Petersen about what specific classes to register for.
